A letter from the founders of Dubsof

Every business already holds a complete record of how it works. It is written across years of email, files, spreadsheets, accounts and group chats, and because it lives in so many places, the only place it comes together is in the heads of the people who run the company.

For forty years, software has been sold to businesses one piece at a time. Each piece holds its own part of the record, and the gaps between them are filled by people retyping, chasing, matching and remembering. Companies have tried to close those gaps by connecting their tools, and the connections they build are partial, stale and read only. That was a tolerable cost when software only stored information. It stops being tolerable now that software can do work, because work that crosses a whole company needs the whole company, live and in one place.

Dubsof exists to give every business that. We take a company’s scattered records and turn them into one live system of record, we generate the software the company needs directly on top of it, and we run it, so the owner runs the business rather than the software. Every company is different on top and the same underneath, which means we can shape each system around how one company works while maintaining all of them as one platform.

The idea is not new. Running a company from one connected system of record has been attempted before, and it failed because moving everything across and building software for it cost more than it returned. Two things have changed. Moving a company’s records across can now be done by software rather than by years of consulting, and once a company’s work lives in one place, AI can act on it rather than only report on it.

We started in Dublin in August 2025, with the businesses we understand best: owner led companies that build, move, make and feed the economy, where the work is varied, margins are tight and software has rarely fit. Our team sets every company up in person today, because that is how we learn what each one needs. Over time, more of that work will be done by the platform itself.

People have had platforms to talk, to share and to buy for twenty years. The work of running a business never had one. That is what we are building.
