The business
Stanley Asphalt specialises in road surfacing and civil engineering. The company has been trading for eleven years, and the Stanley family has been in the trade for generations. It runs a large fleet of heavy vehicles and machines across sites that change every day.
The problem
All of that fleet and all of that work was planned on a whiteboard in the office. Every time something changed, director Neil Stanley and his contracts manager Mark would ring each other to keep up. A dozen calls a day, just to stay in sync.
